Procedure
warm up:
A review on the modal : can / could.
T. : Can I have a look at your copy-book , please?
Could you tell me the title of our last text ? ( PP speak )

Step One: Introduction:
• On the plane:
Steward: May I offer you a newspaper?
Passenger: Yes , please.
• In a restaurant:
Waiter: May I take your order?
Man : No, thank you . It's all right.
When we refuse permission, it is important to give a reason why we refuse. Doing otherwise will sound impolite.

Step two Development :
• Ask your teacher or your partner for Permission to do something using the modal : ' may '(page 54)
e.g : You : May I borrow your pencil ?
Partner: Yes, of course ./ Yes, go ahead . / Please do.

Step three: Pair Work
• Now , play roles with your partner :( 2 page 54)
e.g : Hostess : Would you please move this seat ?
Passenger :Yes , certainly.
( would you mind , Do you mind , would you please ?)
PP will interpret and identify the context of communication before acting their spoken interaction.
The use of“would” in a request makes it more formal.The use of the gerund after polite patterns:
“Would you mind/Do you mind…?” The intonation goes up in making polite requests.
